A long time civic and non-profit organization volunteer, Greg was first elected to the Delaware House of Representatives, 11th District, in 2000. Greg was elected to the Delaware State Senate, 4th District, in 2012 where he currently serves in leadership as Minority Whip for the Senate Republican Caucus. Greg serves on the following Senate committees: Banking, Ethics, Executive, Judiciary, Legislative Council and Permanent Rules.
While in the House of Representatives, Greg was the House Minority Leader for the Republican caucus and serves on various committees. After the 2012 re-districting in Delaware Greg decided to run for State Senator in the newly created 4th district.
Since entering office, Greg has authored or co-sponsored a host of bills ranging from a new law cracking down on industrial polluters to addressing long term water supply issues in Northern New Castle County to another that encourages young people to become more politically active. Greg has also focused on strengthening Delaware’s economy and his efforts were recognized in 2012 by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce. He has also been a strong and consistent voice regarding government accountability. Greg has also refused to accept what he considered an improper pay raise in 2005 and has donated over $35,000.00 to local charities. In addition to his legislative responsibilities, Greg has continued his focus on constituent service by attending community meetings and responding directly to calls and other contacts, and holding regular coffee meetings throughout his district.
Greg is the Managing Director of a successful financial services business and holds a Masters Degree in Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelors Degree in Finance & Economics from the University of Delaware. He also has his Certified Cash Manager designation from the Treasury Management Association.
A constant civic volunteer, Greg currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Delaware Council on Economic Education and served on the Board of Directors of Girls Incorporated of Delaware for seven years, including terms as Secretary, Vice President and President. He also served on the board of Westside Health for four years and has been actively involved over the years with a number of other civic associations and organizations.
Greg and his wife Ruth have two children and reside in Sharpley.
